UniversePE 11.3.1 linux installation

I installed the last Rocket Universe Personnal Edition ( ) using the link you provided by email. I followed instructions from universe_installguide_v1131.pdf.
uv.load run as uvadm ends successfully, but then uv.install run as root ends with an error “2 2” without displaying the expected informations required to activate the product.
Uvsmm.errlog reports “UniVerse license expired! UniVerse stops working!”. Then, every try to run an universe binary lead to the same error.

~$ /usr/uv/bin/uvregen -z

Any idea how to get the universe running ? it seems the license is already outdated

Thanks in advance,

Not sure when you requested the Personal Edition, but I just requested and downloaded both PE version (Windows and Linux), which are the latest version which was released in August 2018. This version of the PE will not expire until June 2020.

Please request a download link again, download the latest version, and install again. If you are still having issues, send an email to, so that I or another Rocket Technical Support Engineer can assist you.

ok i’ll try to request a link again, let’s hope it has been updated

Hi! Just for your info, I have requested a Personal Edition this morning, and I have the exact same issue: Expiry date is 5/24/2018.

I will look into this and let you know what I find.

Checked the windows version and it is ok, will check the Linux version next.

I have also checked what is being sent when the Linux version is requested. It is sending out the correct version. If you have an expired release you will need to request a new download.

Thank you very much for taking the time to check that, I will request a new download tomorrow and will give you an update! Have a great evening sir!

Hi! This morning, I asked a new download for Linux and I had issues reinstalling it, I think I did not removed it correctly. So I asked a new download for Windows. I just installed it and here is that I have in the License tab:
I really think I am stuck with a past expiry and have to change the date on my PC, do you think it’s normal? Thanks!

Sorry, for the delay in responding.

If you are on a Personal Edition then you will have to go back out to the Trials page for a newer version. PE are released with limited Expiry Date(s).

If this is a Eval, you will need to ask for another ( or an extension ) from RBC or your sales rep.

If this is a perpetual license then you can update, change and re authorize.
